Dorothy M. Ashworth, 83, of North Lima, passed away at 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2008 at Parkside Health Care Center from infirmities of age. Mrs. Ashworth was born in New Middletown, Ohio on August 4, 1924, the daughter of Evan J. and Maud (Metzler) Guterba. Dorothy moved from San Francisco, California to Alabama in 1969. She was a town clerk in Summerdale, Alabama from 1972 until she retired in 1989. Mrs. Ashworth graduated from North Lima High School in 1942 and following graduation she worked at People's Bank of Youngstown. She later worked as a bookkeeper and also as a soft drink bottler. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Al Ashworth. Mrs. Ashworth is survived by one sister; Mrs. Twila (Ed) Telego of New Springfield, a brother; Floyd Guterba and his wife Becky of Columbus. Mrs. Ashworth was preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Guterba.
