AUSTINTOWN - Dorothy "Dot" May Sienerth, 84, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, May 12 at Austin Woods Center with her loving family around her. Dot was born on March 20, 1931 in Rogers, OH, a daughter of John and Dorothy (Morris) Manning. A life -long area resident, She graduated from David Anderson High School in Lisbon in 1949 and married Charles M. Sienerth on June 7, 1952. Dot was a member of First Christian Church in Columbiana, and belonged to the Priscilla Circle, the M and M Circle and the U and I Sunday School Class. She was the office manager for 21 years at Tele Media TV, which later became T.C.I. Cablevision of Columbiana. Dot held various offices in the Business and Professional Women's Club in Lisbon, where she was recognized as Woman of the Year in 1985. She also was a past president of the Rogers PTA, a member of the former Columbiana Kiwanis and the Columbiana Historical Society, and an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 290. She enjoyed reading mysteries and catching NASCAR on Sundays, but most of all Dot loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Dot leaves to cherish her precious memory a daughter Linda Eckstein and her husband Greg of Canfield; a son Charles Sienerth and his wife Connie of Salem; six grandchildren Michael (Audrey) Sienerth of Twinsburg, Amber Sienerth of Salem, Jason (Alicia) Hill of Youngstown, Adam (Amy) Sienerth of East Palestine, Jennifer (Gary) Evans of Austintown and Taylor Sienerth of Salem; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister Virginia (Ron) Smith of Columbiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles "Chuck" who passed away on April 29, 2008, and a sister Mary Todd. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church of Columbiana, 39 Cherry Street, Columbiana with Pastor John Reed officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 South Elm St., Columbiana, and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you for the exceptional care provided to Dot during her stay at Austin Woods, especially from staff members Bob Amendalea, Emily Fick, and Dale Day. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the First Christian Church of Columbiana, 39 Cherry Street, Columbiana, OH 44408.
