Dorothy E. Winsper , 80, formerly of Erskin Ave. in Boardman, passed away at 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at Beeghley Oaks Care Center in Boardman from complications of cancer. Dorothy was born on August 16, 1930, in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Fraley) Peters, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a waitress at the Hub Restaurant in earlier years. Dorothy also worked at the former Strouss and McKelvey's Department Stores in downtown Youngstown. She had attended the Cornerstone Assembly of God, where she was a 700 Club Counselor for seven years. She enjoyed reading in her spare time. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Earl, whom she married August 19, 1967; her sisters-in-law, Millie Parsons and Genevieve Haddle; her friend Sally Jarvis, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, June 30 at 11 a.m. at the Cornerstone Assembly of God with Pastor Albert Yanno officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
