Edward B. Douglass, 58, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 of a massive heart attack at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Ed was born on August 24, 1951 the son of Harry Leroy and Celia Viola Morris Douglass. Edward was a 1969 United Local High School Graduate. He was employed as area manager of Energy Operations at Severstale, Warren Plant. Ed was a member of the Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall in East Palestine, he served as an Elder for 36 years. He was greatly loved by his family and friends. Ed was an avid woodworker and enjoyed bicycling and traveling. Ed is survived by his wife, Cindy (Yoho) Douglass whom he married on November 2, 1974; two daughters, Dawn Marie and husband Aaron Schwab of Columbiana, Ohio, Lora and husband Shane Whitacre of Columbiana, Ohio; one son, David Edward and wife Robin Douglass of Columbiana, Ohio; one brother, Harry Douglass of Lisbon, Ohio; one half sister, Dyanna Gillian; one step-sister, Cindy Bowman; two step-brothers, Darryl Keller, Kevin Keller; four grandchildren, Isaac, Miyah, Raina, Leila and a granddaughter due in April. He is also survived by his step mother, Shirley Ann Douglass and his father and mother in law, William and Doris Yoho. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Banquet Center at "The Links at Firestone Farms," 820 Creek Road, Columbiana, Ohio, 44408 on Saturday, January 23, 2010. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service from 2:30-3:30 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that material contributions be made to "Jehovah Witnesses" P.O. Box 234 Columbiana, Ohio 44408.
