Edward H. Jones, 73, of 2069 Renkenberger Road, passed away at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Jones was born March 18, 1932 in Youngstown, the son of Edward H. Sr., and Mary Hopkins Jones, and moved to Columbiana 25 years ago. He operated Columbiana Antiques Gallery of Columbiana for the past 25 years and, prior to that, was a metal finisher at the General Motors Lordstown plant. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1952 to 1954 and was a member of the Bengamin Firestone American Legion Post No. 290 of Columbiana. He is survived by his wife, the former Angie M. Scapilatto, whom he married July 17, 1965; three daugters, Caroline Mckinley and her husband, Robert of Newhall, Calif., Elizabeth Dolzel and her husband, Jim of Cannon Falls, Minn., and Mrs. Joanne Browlee of Long Beach, Calif., seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr Jones was presceded in death by two sisters. There will be no calling hours or services. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
