Elizabeth S. Morgan, 93, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at her son's residence, 5814 Ridge Avenue in Berkley, IL. Mrs. Morgan was born on August 19, 1914 in Nappanee, IN, the daughter of James and Anna Pearl Strode Stuckman. Elizabeth moved to the local area in 1963, residing in Columbiana in the mid 1980's to 2000's, and then moved to Chicago. Mrs. Morgan worked at Western Union in Chicago and she had worked for 10 years at North Side Hospital as a switch board operator, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima. Elizabeth graduated from Milford High School in Milford, IN., in 1931. Elizabeth loved her family and enjoyed all the special times they shared together she also loved to read, do crossword puzzles, sew, crochet and do embroidery. Elizabeth was preceded in death on September 9, 1966 by her husband H. Phillip Morgan. They were married October 4, 1948. She is survived by two daughters; Ann and her husband Alexander Cristian of Canfield and twin daughter Jane and her husband Jerry Reich of LaGrange, IL; a twin son Thomas and his wife Linda Morgan of Berkley, IL with whom she made her home for the last five years; three sisters and three brothers; and a grandson, Thomas. She was preceded in death by a sister. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2007 at the Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima with Rev. Peter Kerlin officiating. Burial will be in Tod Homestead Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Family suggests material tributes be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima.
