PETERSBURG - Elizabeth Joan Smith, 68, passed away Thursday evening, May 12 at her home with her husband by her side. Elizabeth was born on January 14, 1948 in Nyack, NY, a daughter of John and Betty Woodruff. A hairdresser at one time, she retired from the Walmart in Salem. She belonged to St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg, and enjoyed painting. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband Jack, two daughters Becky and Bonnie, and two sisters-in-law Dessie Murberger and Lily Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Willie. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at noon at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima, with Pastor Larry Klinker officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18 from 10am to noon at the funeral home.
