E. "Bud" Gasser, age 90 of Columbiana, OH, passed away at 4:55pm Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman, from complications of pneumonia. Mr. Gasser, the son of Henry and Julia Gasser, was born on December 22, 1920 in Youngstown, OH. Bud worked as a carpenter for the former Penn-Ohio Towel and was also a brick layer, he retired in 1985. Bud also served in the merchant marines during W.W. II. Bud is survived by his wife Marjorie Eddy (Perkins) Gasser whom he married on Feb 14, 1958. Survivors also include, two daughters, Mrs. Marcia Carkido of Columbiana,OH, Susan (Stanley) Wendell of Columbiana,OH, one step-daughter, Linda (Chuck) Pepper of Ford City, PA two step-sons, Mike (Valerie) Perkins of Antheim, CA, David (Linda) Perkins of Ravenna,OH, , and one brother, Paul Gasser of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers precede him in death. Calling hours and funeral service will be private, with Minister Len Derico officiating at the private funeral service.
