Emma E. Keck, 94, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 1:00 a.m. at Essex in Salem on Sunday, October 15, 2007 of infirmities of age. Ms. Keck was born on November 22, 1912 in New York City, New York, the daughter of Alexander and Margaret (Beres) Foray. Emma previously worked at Salem Community Hospital as a nurse until she retired in 1980. Ms. Keck was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and then went on to graduate from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1930. Emma was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leetonia. Ms. Keck is survived by one sister; Mrs. Velma DeAtley of Salem and niece Holly Socha, of Austintown. Emma was preceded in death by two sisters; Mrs. MaryAnne Cason and Mrs. Margaret Simko. A Private Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
