Ernest (Ernie) Raymond Ciardi, Jr., 44, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 4:15 p.m. at the Hospice House in North Lima on Saturday, August 11, 2007 following an extended illness. Mr. Ciardi was born on February 9, 1963 in Denville, New Jersey, the son of Ernest and Maude Mangone Ciardi. Ernie owned and operated an auto detail shop and car sales known as "Ben & Ernies" located in Columbiana. He enjoyed restoring cars, reading and antiques. Mr. Ciardi is survived by his mother Maude Ciardi of Columbiana; his father Ernest Ciardi (Kathy) of Greenville, South Carolina; a sister Mrs. Lorraine (Timothy) Smith of Columbiana; three brothers John (Patty) Ciardi of Columbiana, George (Yong) Ciardi of New Fairfield, Connecticut and Edward McNee of Columbiana; 13 nieces and nephews and his beloved dog "Tiffany". A brother Pat Ciardi and a nephew Johnny Ciardi preceded him in death. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Rev. John M. Ciardi officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana.
