Esther Eileen Kirtley, 95, formerly of Columbiana, passed away at 4:45 am Wednesday, September,15, 2010 at Wadsworth Point, Wadsworth, Ohio where she had resided for the past several years . Mrs. Kirtley was born August 12, 1915 in East Palestine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Foy Akenhead. Esther was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana. Besides her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband Earl W. Kirtley , Dec. 28, 1993 . They were married November 29, 1934. She was also preceded in death by a Brother Glen Alan Akenhead and a sister Grace. Esther is survived by her son Bob (Grace) Kirtley of San Jose, CA. and a daughter Carol McVay of Newark, OH. Grandaughter Debbie McKinney (Bruce), Jennifer Kirtley, Grandson Larry McVay and Jeffrey McVay. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Paula Archdeacon officiating. Burial will follow at Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call fom 12:00-1:00 pm Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel. Arrangements are being handled by Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home of Columbiana.
