Ethel E. Hall, 92, of 815 East Calla Road, Poland, passed away at 1:45 a.m. of infirmities of age on Friday, November 16, 2007. Mrs. Hall was born in West Bureau, Illinois on February 7, 1915, the daughter of Silas and Julia (Joines) Ellis. Ethel spent early years in Wyanet, Illinois until she moved to Youngstown, Ohio in 1955 and later to North Lima, where she resided and raised her family. She was a wonderful and beloved mom who loved sewing, gardening and visiting with family. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death on September 23, 1992 by her husband Orville T. Hall, whom she married on December 25, 1939. Ethel is survived by one daughter; Mrs. Julie (Robert) Ackerman of Poland, with whom she made her home, one son; Mr. Steven (Lynn) Hall of Troutville, Virginia, three grandchildren; Robin (Joe) Holtzee, Steve (Holly) Hall and Rebecca (Steve) Boyd and seven great-grandchildren; Kylie and Joseph Holtzee, Steven Hall, Ali, Steve, Isabella and Nicolas Boyd. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by four brothers, six sisters and one grandson, James Ackerman. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2007, at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Rev. Melinda Q. Lacefield officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
