BOARDMAN - Faye Hawk, 94, of Poland, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, January 7 at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman. Mrs. Hawk was born on August 30, 1921 in Sligo, PA, a daughter of Burton and Minnie Belle (Myers) Brinker. She married Oren L. Hawk on February 21, 1940, and together they would raise four children. After moving to the area in the early 1940s, Faye became a member of the Woodworth Church of the Brethren. She was very active in the church, especially participating in the woman's group. She leaves to cherish her precious memory two sons, Dennis and his wife Betty of Salem and Gene and his wife Nora of Newellton, LA; a daughter Nancy Shannon and her husband Keith of Bryan, OH; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Faye was preceded in death by her husband Oren, who passed away on February 14, 1991, her son Ronold, her daughter-in-law Roseanne, two sisters and five brothers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima with Pastor Mitchell W. Funkhouser officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 11 one hour prior to the service, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
