Billet, 79 of Canfield, Ohio, passed away suddenly at 2:35 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2007 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Emergency Room. Mrs. Billet was born on September 11, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel Mischler Sarver. Florence was a life-long area resident. She worked 30 years for the Boardman School System retiring as a secretary for the principal at the high school. She had also worked in the audio visual department and the guidance department, retiring in 1998. Mrs. Billet was a member of the Canfield A.A.R.P., the Christian Women's Group in Canfield and a member of the School Employee Retirees of Ohio. She was a bird and animal lover. She enjoyed attending Boardman High School Basketball games and loved going to lunch, dinner and the theatre with her friends. She was preceded in death on July 12, 1998 by her husband, Eugene R. Billet. They were married February 28, 1948. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Hulburt and her husband Robert of Leetonia, Cyndee Norris of Canfield; a son Gary Billet and his wife Theresa Billet of Canfield and three grandchildren Sean Hulburt, Gabe Norris and Tia Norris. Florence was also preceded by two sisters Dorothy Bergman and Elizabeth Perkins and a brother Clarence "Sonny" Sarver. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Rev. David Joachim officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 pm Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
