Florence Corinne Mackall, formerly of Manor Drive, Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 7:20 a.m., Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Caprice Health Care Center in North Lima of infirmities of age. Corinne was born on April 11, 1913 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Clara Slutz Gingery. Corinne grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Columbiana in 1936. She was a retired music teacher from Salem schools and had taught previously in the Stillsville, Indiana school systems as an English teacher. Corinne was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana, where she was a member of the Philo Sunday school class. She was a graduate of Mount Union College earning a degree in English in 1935 and a degree in Music in 1971. Corinne played violin for the Youngstown Symphony for five years. She was also a member and past president of the Salem Music Study Club, and had a passion for string instruments. Corinne also taught violin and piano lessons up until four years ago. Mrs. Mackall was preceded in death on January 14, 1995, by her husband, Raymond Mackall, whom she married June 11, 1936. Corinne is survived by three sons Lloyd (Kay) Mackall of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Leland Mackall of Columbiana, Ohio and Thomas (Denise) Mackall of Lake Milton, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Corinne is also survived by one sister Edith (James) Walden of Indianapolis, Indiana and three brothers, Robert (Betty) Gingery of Sun City, Florida, Richard (June) Gingery of El Paso, Texas and Joseph William (Shirley) Gingery of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mrs. Mackall was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Leukhart and one grandson. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on June 6, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Rev. Charles Ready officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 5, 2007 from 6-8 pm at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana. Family suggests that material contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana. Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana handled the arrangements.
