Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home 154 S. Elm Street P.O. Box 1 Columbiana, Ohio 44408 Floyd T. "Mose" Parks, 88, of 48461 S.R. #14 New Waterford, Ohio, passed away at 9:30 pm at Essex Health Care Center in Salem. He was born on April 17, 1917 in Petersburg, Ohio and was the son of the late Floyd and Alice Crissman Parks. He had lived in this area all his life. Floyd worked as a manager at Petersburg Milling and in the shipping and receiving department at Franklin Furniture in Columbiana. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg where he had been very active in the church in past years. He was a W.W. II Army Veteran serving in the European Theatre. He was a life member of the New Springfield Triangle Post 2799 of the V.F.W. He was preceded in death on August 25, 2003 by his wife, the former Pauline Anne Sopko, whom he married June 11, 1941. He is survived by a sister Mrs. Odean Felger of Boardman; one brother Russell Parks of Canfield and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Betty Weber and Mrs. Arlene Dyce. And five brothers Howard, Stanley, Warren who was killed in W.W. II, Paul and Luther Parks. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg with Pastor Kenneth Hacker officiating. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Family suggest that material tributes be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg. Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
