Fraud William Carlson, 83, of Boardman, Ohio, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Monday, November, 16, 2009 at the Valley Renaissance Nursing Home from infirmities of age. Fraud had resided there since 1996. Mr. Carlson was born on October 26, 1926 in Gilmore, West Virginia the son of Gus and Estella (Perry) Carlson. Fraud started a Union in the Coal Mine where he worked in West Virginia in the early 1950's. He then moved to Youngstown, Ohio in 1955 and worked as a crane man for Grief Brothers of Youngstown for 19 years until he retired in 1974. He was a Korean War Veteran. Fraud raised seven step children and three step grandchildren. Mr. Carlson was preceded in death on July 31, 2003 by his wife, Della (Young) Carlson whom he married on January 3, 1949. Fraud is survived by one daughter, Connie Carlson of East Palestine, Ohio; grandson, Joseph W. F. Carlson of East Palestine, Ohio; and his sister, Frances Bosley of Canton, Ohio. Mr. Carlson was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Carlson; two sisters, Florence Wine and Myrtle Nicholson; half brother, Vance Haddix; one sister, Mildred Varney; his son, Ray Jr. Carlson; and by one daughter, Cathie Carlson. There will be no calling hours or services.
