Obituary

Genevieve A. Wire, 86, of 11 Ravine Place, Poland, Ohio, passed away at 8:30 am, Saturday, April 24, 2010 at her residence. Genevieve was born April 20, 1924 in Youngstown, the daughter of Eugene and Olive Bossert Summer. Mrs. Wire was preceded in death on March 30, 2008 by her husband, Clifford Wire. They were married August 1, 1947. Genevieve is survived by four daughters, Linda (Larry) Fain of North Lima, Nancy (Michael) Gaskill of New Springfield, Joyce (John) Richardson of New Middletown and Alice (James) Melek of Poland; 10 grandchildren 21great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters Clara Patton, Grace Stanley and Eugena Patton and a brother Leroy Summer. Genevieve worked as an assistant manager at Isalys. She also worked at Truscon-Tank as a welder. Mrs. Wire was an Avon Representative in the 1960's. She was a swimming instructor. Genevieve was a homemaker after her marriage and enjoyed Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Halloween, cooking, baking, having picnics, swimming, playing cards, crocheting and other crafts. Mrs. Wire was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield. She attended Wilson High School. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Rev. Aimee Raymond officiating. Burial will be in Poland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima.
