Poland, Ohio, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, following a brief illness. She had been at the Medical Center four days. Mrs. Abblett was born on December 13, 1926 in Poland, Ohio, the daughter of Hugh and Helen Adams Black. She was a life-long area resident and was a homemaker. She liked to crochet, enjoyed growing house plants and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Donald M. Abblett, whom she married September 18, 1948; two daughters Kimberly Molnar and her husband Greg of North Lima, Linda Genuske and her husband David of Canfield; a son Ronald Abblett and his wife Charlotte of Canfield; four sisters Mrs. Frank (Virginia) Vitko and Mrs. Jim (Beverly) Lewis both of New Springfield and Mrs. (Mary) Emch and Mrs. Dale (Margaret "Peggy") Aeppli both of Youngstown; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Helen was preceded in death by two sisters Jean Ponchak and Betty Mayle and four brothers Hugh Black, William Black Theodore Black and Frank Black. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima. Burial will be in Paradise Lutheran Cemetery.
