Helen (Strombock) Shelley, 94, died Wednesday May 18, 2011 at Beeghley Oaks Skilled Nursing Home. She was born August 20, 1916 in Youngstown, the daughter of Herbert and Rubie (Ames) Stombock. She had worked at U.S. Steel, McDonald, and as a billing clerk for 30 years. She retired in 1972 and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of New Springfield. She was a member of Miriam Chapter of Eastern Star and Past (worthy matron). Surviving is her sister, Louise G. Strombock, also a resident of Beeghley Oaks, and her friends Draper and Theresa Eltman of Vienna. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert C. Shelley. As she requested, there will be no calling hours. The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, North Lima is handling the arrangements. Burial will be at Kerr Cemetery in Niles.
