Herman Raymond Trombacco, 85, of Garfield Road, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana. Mr. Trombacco, the son of Michael and Carina (Thomas) Trombacco, was born on Aug. 23, 1926, in Campbell. Herman was a World War II veteran, where he served as a Sargent in the 498th Quarter Masters Battalion as a supply clerk. He was a driver/salesman for Golden Age/ Pepsi Cola, retiring in 1982 after 24 years of service. He also worked in the automotive department of Sears from 1965 to 1982. Herman is survived by his wife, Norma Jane (Clay) Trombacco, whom he married May 9, 1949. He is survived by three daughters, Beth McKenrick of Smithfield, N.C., Pam (John) Pagac of Boardman and Valerie (Perry) Gillespie of Winfield, Ill.; and two sisters, Yolanda Parish of Boardman and Helen Shepas, of Struthers. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Dawn Bak of North Carolina, Matthew and Amy Pagac of Ohio, Shane Gillespie, Crystal (John) Sterrett and Britney Gillespie of Illinois and four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Erica and Matthew Bak and Aiden Fette. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary; a brother; an infant brother; and two half-brothers, Carl and Jack. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. at the New Springfield Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jon George officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the New Springfield Trinity United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Valley.
