Wilms-Copacia, 92, of Columbiana, passed away at 10:15 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2007 at Hospice House in Poland. Mrs. Wilms was born on May 16, 1914 in Leetonia, Ohio, the daughter of Leroy and Nellie Jane Kintner Frederick. Hilda moved to Columbiana, Ohio in 1937 and to Arizona with her husband in 1985. She moved back to Ohio in 2002. Mrs. Wilms was a life-long church member. She owned and operated the Gwenn-Gary Nursery of Columbiana which was founded in 1937, was a past matron of Columbiana Eastern Star #428, was a 4-H advisor of Columbiana County and was a past president of the Columbiana P.T.O. & Fairfield P.T.O.. Hilda was preceded in death on February 2, 1994 by her first husband, J. Paul Wilms. Her second husband, John Copacia whom she married February 3, 1995 preceded her in death February 13, 2000. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Frost of Columbiana, Mrs. Caroline (Bob) Hall of Salem, two sons, Gary (Verla) Wilms of Leetonia, Paul (Sue) Wilms of Cleveland, two step-daughters Joan Maljarik of Willowick and Evelyeen Probert of Lyndhurst, a sister Mrs. Betty Calvin of Sebring, five grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Hilda was also preceded in death by a brother Nelson Frederick. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, with Chaplin David Parry officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery.
