Obituary

COLUMBIANA - Ila Mae Wright Hupp, 81, of Columbiana Oh, formally Weirton, WV, went home to Jesus on September 5, 2026.

Born August 24, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Morris and Boyd Wright. She was the loving wife of Jim Hupp for the past 40 years.

Ila was a graduate of Follansbee High School. She worked for many years as a floral designer. She has always had a love for flowers, landscaping and birds. One trip to Ila’s home and that was obvious. She spent many hours tenderly caring for their property. Ila also volunteered at her church, Abundant Life Fellowship. She helped with the many outreaches the church provided with one of her favorites being Overflow where ALF was able to clothe and help families in need. Ila never met a stranger. She loved people. Her greatest joy was giving to others.

In addition to her parents, Ila was preceded in death by her sisters Rogene Tate, Glenda Jo Clark, and a brother, Buddy Wright.

She is survived by her husband Jim; her sister Karen Loeffler of Pennsylvania; a brother Larry Wright of Georgia; her two daughters, Joelene Camp, her husband William and daughter Mia of Cincinnati; Davala Crofford, her husband Robert and their children Katherine, Bobby, and Sarah of Morristown, NJ; a step daughter, Susan Hupp and her son Tyler, Boardman; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. She had countless friends whom she loved as well. Ila was very loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at noon at Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 State Route 46, New Waterford, OH, 44445 with Pastor Jeff Schoch officiating.
