Obituary

James W. Armstrong Jr., 84, died at Hospice of Okeechobee, FL, January 29th, 2011. Mr. Armstrong was born in Michigan, raised in Tennessee, and has lived in Florida for the past thirteen years. James was a graduate of the University of Missouri. He owned and operated both the Master Sales and Service and Just Country Shoppe in North Lima OH for sixteen years, and was a partner and owner with his daughter for fourteen years of Victor George Beauty Academy. He was the General Foods district manager in Youngstown, OH and also was the general manager at Tw Cork Sales in Buffalo, NY. Mr. Armstrong was a member of the Allen Lodge F. & A.M. 276, of Columbiana, OH, served on the Board of Society for the blind in Youngstown, OH for sixteen years, and was the president for more years than any other board member. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite 32nd degree of the valley of Youngstown. He enjoyed baseball, crossword, and gardening. James served in the Navy during W.W.II, was a member of the V.F.W., and The American Legion of Okeechobee, FL and volunteered for the Salvation Army as a bell ringer for many years. Survivors include, his loving wife Patti to whom he was married to for forty-three years, four sons and two daughters. Very close to his heart were daughter Melanie (Ken) Bellotta, son Michael (Michelle) Armstrong, and his loving pet, Ebby. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday February 8, 2011 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home North Lima at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bobby Murphy officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet cemetery, North Lima, Oh where a military honors service will be conducted by the Salem Amvets Post #45. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Monday February 7, 2011 at the North Lima funeral home. Following the calling hours, members of the Allen Lodge will conduct a Masonic service
