Obituary

James Walter Gill, age 77 of Greeneville, Tennessee, formerly of Wellsville, Ohio died early Friday morning, February 27th, 2009 at his home. Mr. Gill was a retired supervisor of Annealing for WHEMCO Foundry. He was a member of the Greeneville Church of Christ and a member of the BMW Motorcycle Club. Mr. Gill is survived by his wife of 18 years: Barbara Gill of Greeneville; three daughters: Jacqueline Harris of Highlandtown, Ohio, Janice Palmer of Wellsville, Ohio and Judy Winski of Wellsville, Ohio; two sons: James Edward Gill of Jacksonville, Florida and Jeff W. Gill of Leetonia, Ohio; two step daughters: Theresa Rush of Hartville, Ohio and Twana McKinney of Johnson City; one step son: Tom Holman of Lonoke, Arkansas; four granddaughters; seven grandsons; three step granddaughters; nine great grandchildren; three sisters: Ruby Golden of East Liverpool, Ohio; Jane Creasy of North Carolina and Peggy Ivey of Alabama; one brother: Pat Gill of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gill is preceded in death by his parents: Jess and Elizabeth Gill; his late wife: Nancy Black Gill; one sister: Betty Cline; two brothers: Paul Gill and John Gill; one grandson: Scott Crowl; one great grandson: Jarod Harris. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Columbiana Church of Christ in Columbiana, Ohio. Interment will follow in the Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester, West Virginia. Pallbearers will include his grandsons: Ian Palmer, Richard Pelley, Jacob Harris, Terry Pelley and Jamie Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandson Ethan Gill. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at Columbiana Church of Christ.
