Sloan, 53, of 674 Moyer Rd., Youngstown, Ohio, passed away at 12:40 am on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at his home. James was born on February 27, 1947 in Salem, Ohio and was the son of Marion "Bud" and Mary Frances Newell Sloan. He lived in Columbiana until 1983 and then he moved to Youngstown. He worked at Elkton, Lisbon and Youngstown Sheltered Workshops for the handicapped. He currently was employed at Gateways Industries of Youngstown, Ohio. He is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel with Mr. Jerry Pingley officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel.
