Box 281 North Lima, Ohio 44452 330-549-2231 James Lee Sparks, 72, Boardman, Mahoning County, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at home after a long illness. James was born on October 21, 1934 in Quinwood, West Virginia, the son of Lyda and Electa Neff Sparks. He was a retired correctional security guard at Trumbull Correctional Institute for 11 years. He worked for over twenty years in supervision at General Motors in Lordstown, OH and ten years in supervision at Volkswagen in Charleston, WV. James was an honored Marine in the Korean War. James was an avid fisherman, hunter and admired storyteller. Mr. Sparks is survived by his wife, Lola Sparks; two sons Randal Sparks of Boardman, Ohio and Jay Sparks (Cathi) of Spotsylvania, VA; four daughters Linda Elliott, Brenda Smith (Glen), and Carolyn Johnson all of Cleveland, OH and Saundra Panezich (Stanley) of Poland, OH; a sister Shelia Wiseman (Tom) of Wilson, North Carolina and a brother Fairley Sparks (Carol) of Draper, Utah; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima.
