North Lima, passed away peacefully at the Assumption Village, with his family members at his side, at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2006. Mr. Houser was born on December 27, 1916 in Gustavus, Ohio, the son of Amos and Zertha Loyer Houser. John moved to the area in 1953. He retired as a carpenter from Carpenter Local #171 with 63 years service. He was a member of the Salem Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Eleanor Brady, whom he married September 2, 1939, two grandchildren, Dale Ralph Houser and Christine Mae Graham and one brother Virgil Houser. He is survived by his second wife, the former Marvel Heindel Houser, who were married April 14, 1988. He is also survived by a son, Delmar and his wife Karen of Madison, Florida, a daughter, Mrs. Rita Fitzsimmons and her husband Arnold of New Waterford, a son, Roy and his wife Linda, of Salem and daughter, Mrs. Sally Anderson of North Lima; one brother, Gale of Austintown, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Rev. George Hazlett emeritus officiating. Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday, August 11, 2006 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima and one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 am, Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima.
