As a result of his service, he was awarded two Purple Hearts. Joseph was a truck driver for Commercial Motor Freight. He was a member of the American Legion Post 290 in Columbiana and St. Jude Catholic Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann and Judy; and three brothers, Edward, Mike, and Richard. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers and if friends desire, the family requests donations be made in Joseph's name to the St. Jude Roof Fund. The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana has been entrusted with the arrangements. A special thanks is extended to Patty, Joseph's niece, and the staff at Parkside Healthcare Center for their care and compassion to the Meek Family.
