Main Street, Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, November, 12, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus following a long illness. Mrs. Craig was born on January 27, 1950 in North Lima, Ohio the daughter of Cecil E. and Genevieve (Winsper) Craig. Karen was a 1967 graduate of Boardman High School and had worked in food service for various local restaurants and had retired from Fairfield Inn in 2002 due to her health. Mrs. Craig attended the North Lima Mennonite Church. Karen is survived by her mother, Genevieve C. Haddle; two sons, Gary (Brook) Evans of Leetonia, Ohio, Gerald (Sheila) Evans of Virginia; one sister, Helen (Ronald) Walker of Austintown, Ohio; two brothers, Robert (Kim) Craig of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Richard Craig Sr. of New Middletown, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Collin G. Evans, Haley Evans, Kobi Evans, Kayln Evans, Jarren Evans, and Dyson Evans. Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Barbara Mitchell. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the North Lima Mennonite Church with Rev. Robert Wengerd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the North Lima Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary contributions be sent to the North Lima Mennonite Church to help defer the cost of Karens recent medical expenses and memorial service.
