ATLANTA - Ken Forris, son of John and Phyllis Staines Forris, passed away from cardiac arrest in Atlanta, GA on October 28th. Ken is survived by his mother Phyllis Forris of Poland, OH, his sister Fay Forris of Alpharetta, GA and his Aunt Dolores Christ of Honolulu, HI. He was preceded in death by his father John Forris, his maternal grandparents William and Hazel Staines and his paternal grandparents Anthony and Barbara Forris. Ken was born on June 25, 1963 in Youngstown, OH. He graduated from Poland High School and attended Youngtown State University. Afterwards, he moved to Greensboro, NC and then to Atlanta, GA where he spent his last 30 years. Ken made his career in the insurance business. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Partners Benefit Group as a Benefits Consultant. Previously, he was the owner of Forris Group Insurance Services after working for The Palmer Agency as a Group Insurance Director. Ken had his first heart attack at age 32. However, it did not keep him from enjoying life to the fullest. When meeting him you first noticed his sparkling blue eyes, then his big smile and his outgoing personality. His personable character made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Ken had been a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. To celebrate his life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 8th at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Poland, OH. The family will meet with friends from 9:30 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 2985 Center Rd. Poland, OH 44514.
