POLAND - Kenneth D. Tenney, 86, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 29 at The Hospice House in Poland surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 15, 1929 in Nemacolin, PA, a son of Guy and Martha (Kittle) Tenney. Kenneth joined the U.S. Army in the early 1950s, and married the former Shirley R. Amos on July 2, 1958. Kenneth retired from Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, formerly the F.A. Pilgrim as Supervisor. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He leaves to cherish his precious memory Shirley, his wife of 57 years; his two daughters Debora S. Tenney and Loretta J. Tenney; three sons Kenneth W. (Carol) Tenney, Philip C. (Belinda) Tenney Sr. and David E. (Guyla) Tenney; six grandchildren Dacia Redmond, Derek Tenney, Philip C. Tenney Jr., Kaila Tenney, Mathew Tenney and Meagan Tenney; and nine great grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers Douglas, Francis, Marion, Denver, Basil, Donald, Leslie and Freeman Tenney and five sisters Madge, Dorothy, Lilly, Clara and Esther. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4 at noon at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima, with Pastor Greg Pennington officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4 one hour prior to the service, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
