Boardman – LaVerne A. 'Bud' Danks, 73, of North Lima, passed away late Friday evening, December 23, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Bud was born on March 12, 1943, in Youngstown, a son of Tom and Virginia (Bryson) Danks. A North Lima High School graduate, he worked for RC Cola and Coca-Cola companies as a delivery salesman for 30 years. Bud enjoyed NASCAR and traveling, and was a member of the Teamsters Local 377 of Youngstown.

Bud will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Carolyn Ripple, whom he married on September 17, 1965; his two daughters Julie Foutty and her husband Brian of North Lima and Jennifer Petrus and her husband Terence of Boardman; grandchildren Caroline and Carter Foutty; and sister Michele (Smiley) Hiner of Beloit; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Tim Danks, and sisters Patricia Smith, Virginia Danks, and Judy Davis.

Private family arrangements have been made.
