Lavonna (Peg) MacFarland, age 91, formerly of 675 E. Calla Rd, Poland, OH passed away peacefully at 10:50pm Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Assumption Village in North Lima, OH. Mrs. MacFarland was raised by her mother and father Jack and Leona Carnahan Rice, she was born on December 29, 1918 in Mansfield, OH. Lavonna spent her last working years as a legal secretary in Youngstown, OH, prior to her retirement in 1979. She had been active in her church, The Woodworth Church of the Brethren, Woodworth, OH. Lavonna is survived two sons Kim (Nancy) MacFarland of Beaver Twp, OH, and James C. (Tina) Harris of Austintown, OH. She is survived by two grandchildren, Matthew and Molly. Lavonna is preceded in death by her husband Donald Keith MacFarland. A committal service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ralph Edwards officiating.
