Lena V. "Toots" Simon, 76, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, at her home following a brief illness. Lena was born on Feb. 4, 1935, in Farmington, W.Va., a daughter of Joe and Virgie (Mackey) Domitrovich and had resided in North Lima for over 50 years. "Toots" was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed working outdoors and spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Lena leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Debi (Chuck) Francis of North Lima; her grandchildren, Renae (Tony) Cicchi, Chuck (Shelly) Francis and April (James) Nail; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Donald Domitrovich of Monacca, Pa. and a sister, Norma Belich of Aliquippa, Pa. Besides her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her husband, William, whom she married Dec. 3, 1951 and died on Jan. 22, 1998; a son, William M.; and one brother and one sister. There will be no calling hours or services. The family suggests that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St, Youngstown, OH, 44512.
