Leroy F. Zouck, age 95 of New Springfield, OH passed away on Wednesday January 5, 2011 at the Salem City Hospital. Mr. Zouck, the son of Franklin Leroy and Elsie B. (Korth) Zouck, was born on October 23, 1915 in Youngstown, OH. Leroy graduated from Rayen H.S. in Youngstown, OH in 1934 and has resided in New Springfield since 1939. He retired in 1976 as a power house operator and a steelworker at L.T.V., the former Briar Hill Sheet and Tube. Leroy is a W.W.II veteran and served on the Trinidad and Curacao Islands. He was a member of the Victory Christian Center, Columbiana campus. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Leroy is survived by his wife, Virginia M. (Best) Zouck, whom he married on March 25, 1944. Survivors include, one daughter, Sharon (Rodney) Quinn, of Danbury, CT, two sons, Curtis Zouck, of New Springfield, and Frederick (Donna) Zouck, of Beavercreek, OH. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Shannon Quinn, Colleen Ryan, Emily, Eric, and Alison Zouck. Leroy is the last of a family of four: a sister Elsie Flask, and two brothers Charles and Edward Zouck preceded him death. Services will be held Monday January 10th 2011 at the Victory Christian Church, Columbiana, at 11:00am with Pastor Randy Morocco officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday January 9th 2011 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home of North Lima, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Burial will be at the New Springfield Cemetery where a military honors service will be conducted.
