Obituary

Lester "Red" Bolyard, 79 of Columbiana passed away Tuesday evening at his residence. Lester was born August 17, 1931 in Tunnelton, West Virginia, the son of Josiah & Nora Nice Bolyard. He was a millwright for Republic Steel in Youngstown and also worked as a carpenter and Logger. Lester was a member of Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima. Red loved to hunt and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and being called "PAPPY". He was a great man, wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. His wife the former Martha Jean Brennemen whom he married August 8, 1955 passed away Nov 24, 2000. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Mary B. Grate of Youngstown and Janet Lynn Kelley of Tallahasse, Florida, two sons L. Eugene Bolyard and Stephen (Nancy) Bolyard both of North Lima, five brothers Lawrence(Kathy)Bodkins of Hermitage, Tenn., Roy(Dolly) Knotts of Tunnelton, West Virginia, William Bolyard of Philippi, West Virginia, Paul (Jean) Bolyard of New Oxford, PA and Lawrence(Laura) Bolyard of Tunnelton, West Virginia, a sister in law Natalie Boylard of Baltimore, Maryland; five grandchildren Shannon, Loretta, April, Ashley and Andrew; six great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and eighteen step great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife he is preceded in death by sisters Isabella Halbritter, Ellen Hudson, infant sisters Stella, Anna Mae and Esther Jane, brothers Guy, Earl, Cecil, Raymond and infant brothers Edward, Henry, John & Albert. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Rev. Melinda Q. Lacefield officiating. Friends may call from 12 to 2 and 7 to 9 Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, in North Lima. Material tributes can be made in "Red's" memory to Hospice of The Valley or to the church.
