North Lima- Loretta E. Smith, 71, of Shepherd of the Valley, passed away Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman. Loretta was born December 15, 1939 in Youngstown, the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth (Keck) Grossen, and was a lifelong area resident. A graduate of North Lima High School, Loretta was a nurse's aid at the Rolling Acres Care Center. She had also been a private duty nurse's aid in the local area. Loretta was also a former member of the T.O.P.S club of North Lima. Loretta leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Jeanette (Paul) Kaufman of Seattle, Wa.; her sons, Ray (Christine) Smith of Canfield and Tom Smith of Youngstown; her brother, Gerald (Barbara) Grossen of North Lima; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel, whom she married on October 26, 1963, and died on September 3, 1986. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, from 6-8 pm. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, North Lima. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima. Burial will follow at the Paradise United Church of Christ Cemetery.
