Lucille M. Ridel Parks, 83, formerly of Fairfield School Rd. died Sunday afternoon at Caprice Health Care Center. Mrs. Parks was born in Beaver Township, OH, January 18, 1923, a daughter of Myarl I. and Erma L. Kyser Bowers. She was a lifelong area resident. She owned and operated her own beauty shop "Lucille's Beauty Salon" from her home for 9 years. She was a member of Saint Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana. She leaves one son, Al Ridel of Columbiana; three step-sons, Lawrence Parks of Pocano's, PA, Gary Parks of Modesto, CA., and Luke Parks of Scottsdale, AZ; 11 grandcildren;12 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Ridel in January 19, 1961 and her second husband Luther J. Parks on October 7, 2003; they were married August 17, 1963; one daughter, Carolyn Fink; one step-son, Terrence Parks; and two sisters, Ruth Hanna and Darlene Lee. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday 12:00 PM at Saint Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana with Fr. Tom Ziegler officiating and assisted by Deacon Louis Cosentino. Friends may call Thursday 6-8PM at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, Columbiana, where prayers will be said by Deacon Louis Cosentino at 7:30 PM.
