Lucille "Lucie" M. Riehl, of 4709 Fairfield School Rd. Leetonia, Ohio, passed away at 3:15 a.m., Sunday, August 31, 2008 at her residence, following a six month battle with cancer. Mrs. Riehl was born in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of James and Lucette Couturier Mangin. Lucie was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, thereafter, attending Youngstown State University. After receiving her dual license in optic lenses and contacts, she became co-owner of Pearl Vision Center Franchise at the Southern Park Mall. She was currently the manager of Wal-Mart Vision Center of Calcutta. Lucy attended the Church of Common Ground of North Lima. She was a 2nd degree Black Belt; she along with her husband owned and instructed the Columbiana School of Tae Kwon Do from 1993-2007. Lucie was Past-President of Crestview PTO and Head Coach for Crestview Little Rebel Cheerleaders. Lucie was the parent representative of Crestview School Board and was actively involved in many school activities. Lucie is survived by her husband, Bruce Riehl. They were married December 4, 1988. Other survivors include a daughter Jocelyne Riehl, age 17 and a son Derrick Riehl, age 14, a sister, Elaine Best-Dory and her husband Scott of Poland, a niece Mrs. Martisse Best Dettmer and her husband Travis and their sons Jimmy, Nick, and Garrett Dettmer. Lucie was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She was always generous of her time for family and community. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Rev. Steve Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 1-3 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana. The family suggests that contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley 120 W. County Line Rd. Columbiana, Ohio 44408 or the Caleb Cope Foundation.
