Margaret E. Clay, 72 of 236 Maplecroft Rd. North Lima, went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 12 noon at the Greenbriar Health Care Center where she had been for three days, after a prolonged illness. Margaret was born on December 30, 1935 in Greenford, Ohio, the daughter of Eric and Julia Silvashy Griffin. Mrs. Clay was a life-long area resident. Margaret was an in-home care giver for the elderly for many years. Mrs. Clay was a member of the Simon Rd. Church of God and was active with the Women's Church of God of the Church. She loved to bake cookies and pies. Margaret is survived by her husband, George C. Clay, whom she married August 17, 1957. Other survivors include three sons Frank Clay and his wife Brenda and David Clay all of Boardman and Timothy Clay and his wife Debra of Youngstown; three sisters Dorothy Crawford and her husband Norman of Elkton, Mrs. Ethel Foy of Youngstown and Mrs. Louise Brown of Cleveland; her twin brother Paul Griffin of Liberty and John Foy of Cleveland; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by two sisters Betty Foy and Judy Flickinger and one brother George Foy. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2008 at the Simon Rd. Church of God with Rev. Eddie Howard officiating. Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. at the Simon Rd. Church of God in Boardman on Thursday, January 3, 2008 and one hour prior to the service on Friday, January 4, 2008 at the church.
