Box 281 North Lima, Ohio 44452 330-549-2231 Margaret Durk, 89, formerly of New Springfield, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Assumption Village, 9800 Market St. North Lima, Ohio. Margaret was born on June 23, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of John and Mary Toth Takach. Margaret was a life-long New Springfield resident. She had worked as a cook in the dietary department at the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital in Youngstown for 32 years. Margaret was a member of the Local 377 of Teamsters, the Democratic Club, the Knitting Club and she volunteered at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Margaret is survived by a daughter JoAnn McDevitt and her husband George of East Palestine; a son Jack Brown and his wife Carma of Spokane, Washington and four grandchildren Launette McDevitt of Cleveland, Dana McDevitt and his wife Cynthia of New Waterford, Jason McDevitt and his wife Tisha of Negley and Tracy Higbee of Petaluma, CA; six great-grandchildren and one great great- granddaughter. Margaret was preceded in death by a sister Irene Orosz. Private Services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family suggest that material tributes be made to Meals on Wheels or Hospice of the Valley.
