Marjorie Morlan, age 83 of New Middletown, OH passed away at 7:35 am Monday January 17, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman. Mrs. Morlan, the daughter of John and Ada (Williams) Persing, was born on July 13, 1927 in New Middletown, OH. Marjorie was a graduate of Springfield Local High School and attended the Free Methodist Church of New Middletown. She was a member of the Springfield TWP Republican Womens Club and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 2799 of New Springfield. Marjorie was preceded in death on June 20, 1986 by her husband, William Morlan, whom she married on November 1, 1951. Survivors include, one daughter, Cindy L. (Kevin) O'Connor, North Platte, NE, and one son, David W. (Laura) Morlan, Canfield, OH. Marjorie had four grandsons, Shane, Scott, Jacob and Sean, and two great grandchildren, Faith and Brian. One brother, Donald B. Persing and two sisters, Blossom Colwell and Arlene Gerner also precede her in death. Services will be held Friday, January 21, 2011 at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home in North Lima at 11:00 am with Reverend Ben Graves officiating. Burial will be held at the Poland Cemetery.
