Martha A. Blosser, 90, formerly of New Waterford, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 with her family by her side. Martha was born February 22, 1920, in New Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Sieferd) Hanna. Mrs. Blosser and her husband owned and operated Blosser's Service Station in New Waterford. She also worked with her husband in the wholesale egg business, at New Waterford Furniture Company, and at the Vittle Village Convenience Store. Martha was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Waterford and a 50 year member of East Palestine Chapter 38 Order of Eastern Star. Martha was preceded in death on September 10, 1995 by her husband Rudolph P. Blosser, whom she married on October 22, 1937. She is survived by three daughters, Gail (James) Rupert of New Waterford, Ohio, Joyce (Roy) Allen of Stow, Ohio, Shirley (Tom) Hickman of Leesburg, Florida; one son, Wayne (Laura) Blosser of Largo, Florida; one sister, Edith Franklin of Salem, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blosser was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel and Esther and by four brothers, Clayton, Paul, Winfield and Eugene. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Rev. Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will be in New Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010 and one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 all at the Seedery-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana.
