Box 281 North Lima, Ohio 44452 Martha Jane Thullen, 58, of 140 Carriage Club Dr. Mooresville, NC, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 at 10:55 p.m. at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, NC from cancer. Martha was born November 30, 1949 in Salem, the daughter of Ray "Dick" and Olive E. (McCue) Mackey. Martha worked at Lake Norman Urology Medical Billing in Mooresville, NC as a billing secretary. Previously she had worked for Dr. George Ellis and St. Elizabeth Medical Center of Youngstown. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima where she served on several committees over the years. Martha had also attended Rocky Mount United Methodist Church in North Carolina. Martha was a 4-H advisor for many years in Canfield. Martha was preceded in death on December 22, 2004 by her husband, Richard W. Thullen. They were married May 22, 1971. Survivors include her mother Olive E. Mackey of Sebring; a daughter Kelley A. (Glenn) Lyda of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina; a son Timothy D. (Laura) Thullen of Ashland, Ohio; a sister Deborah C. (Rick) Riffle of Mooresville, North Carolina and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima with Pastor Pete Kerlin officiating. Burial will be in Washingtonville Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home in North Lima and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday, November 6, 2008. Family suggests that material tributes be made to a 4-H Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of Martha or to Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima.
