Mary E. Porrazzo, 63, of Columbiana, passed away Monday, March 12 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Mary was born on July 22, 1948 in Salem, a daughter of Ralph and Vista "Becky" (Jewell) Flory, and was a lifelong area resident. A 1968 graduate of Columbiana High School, Mary was an adult education teacher and administrator at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, retiring in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband, Richard, whom she married on July 21, 1990; her son, Steven (Marcy Augustine) Tyson of Girard; her sisters, Dot (Tom) Confer of Salem and Hazel (Sam) Scott of Youngstown, her grandchildren, Mary, Nick, Raymond, Brooke, and Dom; several loving nieces and nephews; and her precious dog, Pepina. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 15 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Columbiana Cemetery.
