Mary Ann Schorsten, 86, of 40534 St. Rt 517. Lisbon, Ohio 44432 passed away at 12:30 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Parkside Health Care Center following an extended illness. Mary was born on May 31, 1920 in Canton, OH, the daughter of Leo and Mary Rinehart Schoeppner. Mrs. Schorsten moved from Louisville in 1976 to Lisbon, Ohio. She was a graduate of McKinley High School in Canton. Mary was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana. She was also a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Elk Run Womens club, and K. of C. Womens Guild of Louisville. Mrs. Schorsten is survived by her husband George "Shorty" Schorsten whom she married on Nov. 20, 1941. Mary was survived by seven daughters, Ms. Patricia Matz of Canton, Sister Susan Schorsten of Youngstown, Peggy Woodruff of Louisville, Kathy Schorsten of Forest, Va., Michele Richards of Waynesburg, Gayle Schleicher of Brant Rock, Mass. and Judee Donnelly and her husband David of Ft Wayne, In. One son George Michael Schorsten Jr. and his wife Marian of Boardman; 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Schorsten was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Robert Schoeppner; One sister Catherine Hiner and one Granddaughter Christina Richards. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2007 at 7:00 p.m at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana with Rev. Thomas Ziegler officiating. A private interment service will be held Wednesday at St. Louis cemetery in Louisville. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at St. Jude.
