Maurice Robert Calvin, 77, of Lynn Road, Canfield, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus, July 22, 2010. Mr. Calvin was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 28, 1933 to Sherman and Hilda (Rideout) Calvin. Maurice is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Hixson) Calvin to whom he was married on October 20, 1951. He is also survived by one daughter, Lori Kenney of Canfield, Ohio; three sons, Robert (Norma) Calvin of Lisbon, Ohio, Jeff Calvin of Canfield, Ohio, Todd Calvin of Canfield, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Michelle (John) Esposito, Jason Calvin, Travis Calvin, Heidi (Joel) Flynn, Abbie (Alan) Kay, Derek Calvin, Ben Kenney, Aaron Jackson, Cassandra McComb; and three great-grandchildren, Evan, Jesse and Ondrea. He is also survived by two foster brothers, Bob (Geri) Lodwick of Virginia and Bill (Dorothy) Byler of Petersburg, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and his canine friend Zoey. Mr. Calvin was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters and one foster sister, JoAnn Scott. Mr. Calvin was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Canfield and a member of the Carpenters Union 171 of Youngstown. He was a carpenter by trade, and retired from Columbiana Boiler Co. in 1998. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all the lives he touched. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July, 25, 2010 at the Paradise United Church of Christ with Rev. Steve Geitgey officiating. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima and one hour prior to the service from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Paradise United Church of Christ.
