Box 1 Columbiana, Ohio 44408 330-482-3788 Melva Cooley, 94, of Guy Miles, Pennsylvania, passed away at 3:05 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Faith Building Personal Care Home. Melva was born on March 9, 1913 in Altoona, PA, the daughter of Walter and Mary Hanks Weimer. Mrs. Cooley previously lived in Leetonia before moving back to Pennsylvania. She worked as a school teacher at the Salem Bible Institute for many years. Melva was a member of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church. Mrs. Cooley was preceded in death on May 2, 1986 by her husband, Leo Cooley, whom she married in August of 1938. Melva is survived by two daughters, Gail and her husband Stanley Hollenbach of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and Ruth and her husband Kenneth Sickler of Johnstown, New York, two sons, Ralph and his wife Darlene of Plain City, Ohio, and William Cooley and his wife Gloria of Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cooley was preceded in death by one brother William Weimer. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 2:30 pm at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Rev. Paul Treese officiating. Friends may call from 1:00-2:30 pm prior to the funeral Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery. Family suggests that material tributes be made towards a mission donation of your choice. Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana handled the arrangements.
