Michael R. Oberholtzer, 46, of 245 S. Elm Street Columbiana, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown. Mr. Oberholtzer was born on December 18, 1962 in Salem, Ohio the son of Raymond E. Oberholtzer and Sue (Hetherington) Oberholtzer. Michael was a graduate of Columbiana High School and the Horticulture Class at Columbiana County Career Center. He was a self employed drywall finisher. More recently he worked at Minerva Dairy as a laborer. Mr. Oberholtzer was a member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana. Mr. Oberholtzer is survived by his mother, Sue Oberholtzer of Columbiana, OH; his father and step-mother, Raymond and Janice Oberholtzer of New Middletown, OH; one daughter, Amelia A. Wolfe of Canfield, OH; two sisters, LuAnn (David) Holisky of Columbiana, OH, Debra (Dave) Deemer of Columbiana, OH; two step-brothers, Doug (Marie) Crosby of North Lima, OH, Reid (Beth) Crosby of Greensburg, PA; and three nieces, Katie, Samantha and Allison. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Columbiana with Mr. John Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. prior to the memorial service. The family suggests that material contributions be made to the First Christian Church of Columbiana or the American Cancer Society.
